Michaëlle Jean is UNESCO Special Envoy to Haiti. A former journalist and champion of human rights, she is an ardent supporter of open dialogue and community solidarity, gender equity, freedom of the press and the role of education in the furthering of economic development and democracy. A filmmaker and writer, Jean-Daniel Lafond is Co-President and Chief Executive Officer of the Michaëlle Jean Foundation.
